JAPANESE ELECTIONS
KEENER INTEREST SHOWN (Australian and N.Z Cable Association (Received February 22, 10 a.m.) TOKIO, Feb. 21. At the first elections under the extended franchise 75 per cent, of the eligibles voted, greatly exceeding the proportions at previous elections, under the restricted suffrage, indicating the keenest national interest.
The results suggest that M. Sievukai will resume the reins of government, but will still be dependent upon the support of the minor parties.
