TWO LIVES LOST

CAR CRASHES THROUGH BRIDGE.

BRISBANE, Feb. 8. A message, from Innisfail states: Racing along at a terrific' speed n motor car crashed through the railing of Babinda Creek bridge at 1 o’clock this morning, and two of the occupants were killed. The car was driven by Felice Groppi, a licensed driver of Cairns, and Was occupied by Louis Scantbosio, E. Arcoco, C. Pupping D. Martini, rind Eva Clarke.

When it crashed through the bridge rails the ear fell to the rocks below, a distance of 20ft. Eva Clarke was killed instantly, while Martini received injuries from which he died at. Babinda Hospital at 8.50 a.in. The other occupants were injured and suffered from shock, but their condition is not critical.

A man has henn detained by the police in regard to the accident.
