MORERE NOTES
(Herald Correspondent.) Air. and Mrs. J. W. E. Smith, of New Plymouth, have been spending a holiday with Airs. Hammond.—Mr. and Mrs. Norris and family, of Gisborne, have been camped at the springs.—Air. Irvine, of the staff of the Union Bank at Whakatane, with Airs. Irvine and her mother, ARs. McDonald, have been touring the North Island, and are now camped at Alorere on the homeward journey. Messrs. Austin and Sons, of Basin Farm, have just had a most successful burn of 150 acres of bush. A clean sweep of the land was made.
