The sixth round of the Gisborne Bowling Cub's Thursday lours, was played yesterday, when Stephenson beat button, Maude beat Holmes, Seymour beat T. F. Crawford, Hueston beat Stoneham, and Armstrong beat T. A. Crawford.

The seventh round will be played next Thursday, when the following teams will meet: —Stephenson v. Seymour, Holmes v. T. F. Crawford, Maude v. Hueston, T. A. Crawford v. Stoneham, and Armstrong y. Sutton. The sixth round of the Saturday fours will be played to-morrow, and the following is the draw: —Coleman v. Or' mond, Watson v. Barnsdale, Allan v. Sidebottbm, Robertson v. Sinclair, Halford, a bye 1 .

(Champion singles: In tho champion singles competition Robertson 17 beat Hueston 16. This was a very close and interesting game, and the score was 16all on tho 21st head. On an extra head being played, Kobortsoh scored 1. The competition is nearing completion. Robertson plays Armstrong, and the winner of this game plays Maudo to decide tho winner of the losers’ section. POVERTY BAY CLUB At the Poverty Bay Bowling Club’s green yesterday afternoon, there was a good' attendance.
