WINNIPEG, Dec. 6. Fopr fishermen of Winnipeg Beach, who were cut off from the shore when the ice through which they wore working went adrift in a storm in Lake Winnipeg, safely reached the east side of the lake. The four men, John and Doric Hurlcson, Sam Borgeson aud Alex Paulson, had been repairing their fishing nets when ,tke ieo suddenly snapped and was carried far out into the lake. Two other men on a smaller sheet of ice were rescued by\ fishermen, who took off from the shore in a small rowboat. They failed to reach the others. The marooned men waited until the floe on which they were riding was blown against pack ice, three-quarters of the way across the lake. They reached the opposite shore after 19 hours of harrowing experience, during which time they were enveloped in a blizzard and subzero temperature. All were suffering from exposure.
