Th c semi-finals engaged the attention of bowlers this morning, the Kahutia Club’s green providing the venue. A pleasing feature of the semi-final round was that each of the four rinks engaged belonged lo a different club, the rinks being skipped by D. G. Robertson (Poverty Bay), G. A. Neill (Tolaga Bay), J. J. Martin (Kabutia), and J. W. Holmes (Gisborne). The sixth round of tho tournament was disposed of yesterday nfternoon, and this closed the sectional play. The seven links with the best records of wins in the sectional play wove then drawn for a further elimination round, with the object of reducing tho number of rink s to'four. The survivors are those mentioned above, Smart, Wootton, and Harkess losing their post-sectional matches. Details of the sixth round were as follow :—A sect ion : Holmes 20 beat Allan 16, Wilkinson 14 beat Sinclair 13, Wootton 23 beat Alahoney 15, Ilnrkess 24 beat Robertson 10. B Section: Stephenson 24 beat Stoneham 18, Alartin 23 beat Sawyer 19. (The balance of the games in B* section, and all games in G section, were abandoned.)
