LESS MONEY FOR CANBERRA

A SAVING OI 1 £250,000 CANBERRA, Doc. 21? One effect of tlie Federal Government's decision to reduce the outlay from loan moneys is that the Canberra expenditure will have to suffer a drop of £250,000 from the £750,000 which was to be available .to it during the second half of the financial year. A consequence will be also that 200 workmen will lose their employment. It had been intended to devote the £250,000 to the proposed soldiers' memorial, to the Zoological Museum and to subdivisional roads.
