The New Zealand tennis ehampionsiiips were continued to-day in hot weather, the courts being very fast. Results:
Combined Doubles. —First round : Miss Andrew and Seay beat Aliss Dallas and Hay, 6—2, 6—l; Miss Myers and Lampo beat Miss Wake and Walker, 6—4, 4—6, B—6.8 —6. Second round: Aliss Tracy and Wilson beat Miss Ramsay and Pearse, 6—l, 6—3; Miss Andrew and Seay beat Mrs. Melody and Melody, 6—2, I—6, 6-3.
Boys’ Sinlges.—Semi-finals : Ilowe bent MeCaskey, 6—l, 3—6, 6—3; Barnett beat Cant, 6 —l, 6—2. Girls’ Singles.—Semi-finals ; Miss Fleming beat Miss Longmore, 6—l, 6—4; Miss Dini beat Miss Budkin 5 —6, 6—5. 7—5.

Owing to the absence of Mr. H. F. Maude the L.V.A. Chip was not p resent. - ed yesterday to the winners of the men’s championship singles at the tennis tourney in Gisborne. The clip will be presented at a later date.
