PEACE SHIELD TOURNAMENT Twenty-six rinks have entered for the Peace Shield howling tournament, which is to take place on Monday and Tuesday next on the greens in Gisborne. The entries were: Kahutia 9, Gisborne 8, Poverty Bay 7, Tolaga Bay 1, and New Plymouth L The matches are to be played in two sections of -eight rinks and one of 10 rinks. All bowls must lie on the grounds foi- examination at. 8.4.4 a.m., and the games will start at 9 a.m. The rule “howls must bear the stamp of 3925 or later years” will be strictly enforced, it is stated. The luncheon adjournment will be from 12.45 p.m. to 1,4.5 p.m.
