ABYSSINIAN RAID
COMPENSATION PAID (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 2 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 21. Sir Austen Chamberlain was asked what was the conclusion arrived at by tho Court of Arbitration regarding the attack made by Abyssinian soldiers last June on a British camel caravan. He replied that the court had fixed damages at about £36CO, and this sum had been duly paid by the Abyssinian Government. The court, also recommended the removal of the Abyssinian officer chiefly responsible, and be had accordingly been dismissed from his post by the Abyssinian Government.
