DISCUSSION IN HOUSE vlVr Press Association.) WELLIiNUTULN, last night. On the' motion of the Hon. G. J. Anderson, Messrs. Eraser and J. Mason, and the mover were appointed managers to draw up reasons for disagreeing with tho amendments made by the Legislative Council in tho Bent Restriction Oontinuanc Bill. On the motion of the Hon. G. J. Anderson, tho amendments made by the Legislative Council in tho Coal Mines Amendment Bill wero discussed, but owing to opposition, to tho amendment in sub-clause '& of clause 2 } by which miners' wages were not made first charge against mines on which mortgage charges or encumbrances exist, the debato was adjourned, tho Minister promising to look into the point. On the motion of the Minister of Public Works, the amendments made by tho Legislative Council in the Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill wero disagreed with, and Messrs. A. Hamilton, Armstrong and the mover were appointed to draw up reasons.
