On the night of November 2 last, Warela Tuiaki, sometimes known as Pongi Tutaki, native farmer, resident at Porangahau, wont to bed as usual, leaving a.registered letter, containing £75 in notes in his trousers pocket in the room. He slept alone, and when die retired the window was shut. On awakening next Coining, however, ho was surprised to find the window open at the bottom and on searching where he had left tho registered letter found that it had gone.
