Admiral Grant, of the Eastern Telegraph Co., welcomes the appointment of a. committee of investigation, >and also Mr. Bruce's statement, which should help to clear the atmosphere. The company would gladly participate in the investigation if invited and would give every assistance. He was pleased that Mr. Bruce had referred tt> the value of cables in war-time. The Daily News states that the beam has taken 60 per cent, of the Indian and South African traffic, though Australia is fading now early in the evening.
