ON MOUNT EGMONT

MR. AMERY'S PARTY (Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. Mr. L. S. Amery and party left North Fgmont House at 4.30 o'clock this morning. By 7.30 they had reach a height of about 700 ft. when the guides advised turning back on account of the treacherous nature of the snow and the high wind. Had time permitted, the summit could have been reached. Good' views were obtained and the climb was enjoyed. The party returned to town and left by train for Wanganui.
