ASSEMBLY CONCLUDES (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church concluded its sitting yesterday. On behalf of the standing committee appointed to draw, up a brief statement of I lie faith, Professor Dickie said that the committee had done nothing, but was waiting to see what the churches in the Old Land were .doing. When these churches issued a modern statement of the Presbyterian beliefs the committee would act.

Dr. Gibb reported that the public questions committee had considered amendments to the motion proposing that the Assembly approve of the peace manifesto, and had agreed to recommend that the Assembly should accord general approval of the manifesto and send it. down to the Presbyteries for consideration and report. This was adopted. The next Assembly will meet in St. David’s Church, Auckland, on Wednesday, November 21, 1928.
