GISBORNE CLUB The first round of the club fours was played on the Gisborne Bowling Club's green yesterday afternoon, with the following results: Beaver, Ormond (sub), Michie, Holmes (s) 32, v. Dixon, Jones, Corson, Seymour (s) 27. Redstone Collin, Cossey, Stoneham (s) 27, v. Whitehead, English, Nasmith, Armstrong (s) 25. An extra heud had to he played to decide the winner. The champion singles and colts singles may be commenced. KAHUTIA CLUB The second round of the Thursday Section of the Dan Barry Memorial Fours was concluded yesterday afternoon on the Kabutia Bowling Club's green, which was in excellent condition. Martin and Wootton's rinks both succeeded in notching " victories, while Clouston's team created a surprise by defeating Roderick's. Resul ts :- - K- P. Murphy, Batsori, t.Vuiekshank, J. J. Martin (s), 20, v. Jelinck, Keany, Haisman, Dudfield (s) 13. This was a rather remarkable game. Dudlield's team got going well, and led during the ;:first half, being 13 points on the thirteenth head. From this on to the finish, _ Martin's rink scored on every head.
