There is yet. no accurate estimate of the exact offerings, but. it is expected that 400 bales of wool, SOOrt skins and 151) bides will lie offered under the hammer. Information is also lacking, even at this late hour, of what outside buyers will be operating here. Two, Mr. W. G. Dean, of Messrs Dean Bros., Auckland, and Air. P. Laseelles, of Messrs. Butcher Bros., Napier, arrived last night, and are so far the only outside buyers here; more are expected to arrive to-night, hut no indication of their identity or how many could he given when enquiries were made this morning. It is expected that the skins, of which there is a good offering, will command good values, while the prices for the wool should he on a par with last season’s sale, the offerings to-morrow being the unsold balance of last season's oddments.
