“THE MOON EXPRESS”
AERIAL CRAZE NEW AIRSHIP BUILDING (Eke. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.i (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association . (Received Nov. 9, 'll a.m.) BERLIN, Nov. 8. An amazing airship is taking shape behind guarded doors, in which a former engineer of Krupp’s, whose name is not divulged, declares that he will fly to the moon. The grotesque proposal is the subject of considerable ridicule, but negotiations to finance the scheme in America proved most successful. It is expected that the cost at a minimum will be, £27,000. It was originally planned to con-; struct the airship in England, hut the contract fell through. Hence tlit first moon express will be made mi Germany. Details are closely guarded, but it is revealed that it will lie of a typo which can realise tremendous speed from a specially-constructed ma chine.
The intrepid designer at present is unable to find a passenger, but it is difficult to believe that there are insufficient cranks in the world to render this an insurmountable obstacle.
