AID TO MIGRATION
BIG BRITISH PROPOSAL £34,000,000 LOAN TO AUSTRALIA (Received Nov. 8, noon.) SYDNEY, Nov. 8. After a conference between the State Cabinet and Mr. L. S. Amery, Mr. Bavin said/the Government intended to sign an agreement between the Federal and British Governments whereby £34,00,0,000 is being lent to ■the Commonwealth for the settlement of British migrants. States signing the agreement are entitled to share in this money. Mr. Lang's Government refused to sign the agreement.
