"CANADIAN CAVEMAN"
A STYLISH WRESTLER
The ‘'Canadian Caveman,” Billy Edwards, sauntered along the deck of the Aorangi at, Auckland. He is a. champion wrestler, but Jte looks anything but one. * No one would ever believe that Eduards is a. “caveman,” such as he is lulled. No one would ever believe that he is the “world’s roughest wrestlci. Edwards affects extremely decorative sideboards, which grow half-way down his cheek; lie wears Oxford bags which would make an Oxford graduate green with envy, tastefully colored gloves, and an immaculate cap. And yet, this very stylishly dressed “caveman.'’ drew the largest bouses in Melbourne for a wrestling bout'. He has been appearing there, under contract, and is now on Itts way back to Canada. What is more, lie has wrestled with some, of Ihe world’s champions, and will do so again. When he wrestled there lie was disqualified for being too rough. 11 i b knuckle head-lock is famous among wrestlers, and has won him many a bout. “1 consider that Australia is the best sporting country in the world.” Edwards said. “Conditions are particularly good. I hope to come back again in the spring, and if it can be arranged I hope to get a match in Auckland. J. believe you have sonfe very promising men here.” Edwards considers that wrestling is becoming more and more popular as a sport. Among other tilings, it exercises every muscle in the body on an equal basis.
The “Canadian caveman” is accompanied by a very charming little wife.--Sun.
