RECOGNITION OF AMATEURS (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) WASHINGTON, Oct. 19. The Australian and New Zealand delegates joined the United States and Canada in urging the technical sub-committee to accord the same official recognition to amateurs as to any other stations; that they be allowed the use of short wave lengths and the allocation of amateur wave lengths he agreed upon; also that each nation determine its amateur power according to its national conditions and desires.
Messrs. A. J'. Brown. Rossn, Hull, and A. Gibbs spoke urging that tin- value of the amateur he recognised.
