The wheat market is quiet and steady, nominally at 5s lid to 5s ll£d; flour £l3 10s "to £l3 15s; bran £8 10s; pol> lard £3 ss; oats, milling 4s 9d to 4s lid, feed 4s 6d to 4s 8d; barley, Frig, lish 4s 7d to 4s lOd, Cape 4s 2d to 4s 3d; potatoes £7 to £8; onions £2 10s to £3.
The X.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. have received the following cablegram from their London house under date October 19: "Butter, 176 sto 180 s; market .slow. Cheese, 104 sto 105 s ; market quiet."
Dalgety and Co. have received the following cable message from their head office, London, dated October 20: "London dairy produce market : Butter; the market is very quiet. Danish, 190 s per cwt.; N.Z. finest, salted 174 sto 178 s per cwt. : Australian finest, unsalted 176 s to 180 s per cwt., salted 172 s to 176 s per cwt. Cheese: The market is very quiet.
