Tlio world and six British weight-lift-ing records were created at Llanally, Wales, recently. Herman Corner, with a two-hand-swing-aiid-jerk lift of 27041 b. broke his own previous record by 20|lb. W. H. James (Llanally) eight-' stone Brjtish amateur champion,'made a world record! at his weight with a- right-hand dead lift of 2811 b., and also a world's record for a one-hand snatch of 1051 b. Jack Hayes (London) beat three British eight-stone records for a two-snafl'h at 1331 b., for a two-hand-clean-from-behind-neck lift at 1791 b., and a two-hand-eleaii-aml-jerk lift at 1891 b.
