Mr. John McMnhn'n, late chief stipendiary steward of the New Zealand racing -dubs, who bus accepted the chairmanship of the stipendiary stewards of the A..T.C. Sydney, Was the guest of owners and facing clubs in the Wellington, Tnrnniiki. and Southern Hawke's Bay districts at a complimentary dinner last evening in ralmerston North, and was presented with an address and a gift of cutlery. Many references were made to the esteem in which the guest was hold, and'the loss his departure would be to racing in New Zealand.
