Mr. Kevin O'Higgins, vice-president and Minister of Justice in the Free State Ministry, was going to church in Black Rock with his wife this morning when three, men in a motor-car fired four shots, wounding Mr. O'Higgins. ' Death followed in a few hours. ; .The.late Mr. Kevin Christopher O'Higi gins was only 35 years of age, and was married in 1921. ilcentered Parliament as a Sinn Feiner in 1918, when 26 years of age. and sat until 1922 when he was elected to the Dail Eirean as member for Dublin County. He was first appointed Minister for Home Affairs, and subseouently 'became vice president of the Dail and Minister of Justice.
