ALLEGED DECEPTION
BLIND SOLDIER'S WIFE
"SAID SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL"

A divorce petition believed to he unprecedented, is engaging the court's attention.
A soldier aged 28. who was blinded in the war, is seeking a decree against his blind wife, aged 48, on the ground thaishe deceived him regarding her age and appearance, lie alleges that .she claimed to be young and beautiful, whereas he had been told (hat .she was very ugly.
The -wife replied that her husband. before their marriage, felt her face and adjudged her to be very attractive, hut he was now influenced by her enemies' calumnies.
The court dismissed petition on the ground of inadequate reason, and the husband is now appealing.
