John Wallace Thurlow pleadec guilty in the Police Court to D charges of stealing goods valued at £5 odd, and Robert William Knight pleaded guilty to six charges of steal i)tg goods worth 11 guineas. 801 l were waterside workers. The chief detective stated that u the last 12 months five* shipping com jinnies in Auckland lost through enrgi pillaging goods worth close on £40(10 The magistrate said lie had received a report from the probation office) with regard to tin# accused, both of whom were young men, and he had decided to place them on probation for two venrs.
