The second session of the first Synod of the Diocese bf Waikato was held last night-, when 65 Anglican representatives were present. Bishop Cherrington, in the first charge delivered, referred to the rapid progress of the diocese, and the extension of activities. The recent appeal for funds had resulted in over £12.000 being given or promised. ' The Rev. G. R, Barnett will be installed to-night as Dean of St. Peter’s Cathedral. The Mayor gave a reception ' this morning to Synod members.
