OLYMPIAD
THOROUGH GERMANY. - LONDON, June 5. The thoroughness with which Germany is preparing for the Amsterdam Olympiad in 1920 is demonstrated by the pledge the Athletic Association is making track and field aspirants for selection sign. It involves a solemn undertaking to hold all their mental and bodily forces in readiness to arrange their mode of living and training by avoiding all excesses and anything harmful to their athletic ability, and to follow absolutely the advice of their medical advisers and sports instructors.
