MAYOR OF EASTBOURNE RESIGNS
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The differences between the Mayor, Mr. Jones, of Eastbourne, and two majority of his council regarding the transport services culminated to-day in the resignation of Air. Jones, who has taken the step, because, in his opinion, the new timetables and restrictions will impose hardships upon the residents and irretrievable loss on the borough.
