The 15 rounds bout opened' lamely, but livened in the sixth. Eairhall then had a slight, advantage, but Purdy forced the fighting in the remaining rounds, ■using both hands. He appeared the winner at the opening of the last round, but Fairhall rallied and made a draw. The majority of those present favored Purdy. CASEY DEFEATS McDOXAED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. To-night Harry Casey wrested the middleweight championship title of the Dominion from La.eh.ie McDonald on points, in a spirited 15 round contest at the Town Hall. The winner finished more strongly.
