The New South Wales amateur golf championship was won bylSApperley, who defeated Smith in the final, four up and three to play. As the previous winner in 1918, 1920 and 1922, Apperley had experience on his side against his 23-vear-old runner up. He was two up on the first round. He lost the two opening holes on resuming, hut won, the next, ami. gradually drew away. Both players drove Consistently well, tlicir putting being relatively good, and comparatively even, but the winner excelled in bis shots up to the green. U.B. NATIONAL TITLE (Australian and N.Z.
