An important deal announced by the. Minister of Agriculture (I ho Hon. O. J. Hawkeu) is the purchase from the grower*, of practically the whole Nelson tobacco crop by the firm of W. D. and 11. O. Special samples of leaf are to bo selected and sent Home and it 1 the price reulised on the London market is greater than the guarantee price Messrs. Wills have undertaken to make up the difference to the growers. The tobaced is now being graded and packed in Nelson and samples chosen, and shipment to Wellington is to be made as soon as the Customs certificate is is-, sued.
