These proved to he in keen demand, and (he sale was ful! of life up lo the hist pen, with an all-round improvement in prices, particularly so with -all classes ol lioggets. ' Ewes in lamb, of which some good pens came forward, made to 19s in three instances, some of the prices bong as follow. 180 4-th to 5-yr, on a ■count of the late S. Newman, a first-class pen of roomy forward conditioned sheep, 19s; 216 2-th to 5-yr, on account of Miller Bros., big ewes in good order, 19s; 250 Matawai sheep, big frames and very forward, (p) 19s; 134 4-th to 5-yr, big sheep in good store condition, 18s 9d: 372 guaranteed mouths, (p) 18s 7d; 509 5-year-o!ds, a straight line of first-class ewes in excellent order, (p) 18s 3d; 172 4-th to 5-yr, guaranteed mouths, on account of'Corlett, Kanakanaia. 18s; 90 2-th, sound mouth. 17s 9<l; 188 2-th to 5-yr, on account of Miller Bros., 16s; 281 4-th to 6-yr, a good conditioned station line, on account of W. THE ANNUAL MEETING The thirty-sixth annual meeting of the shareholders of Williams and Kettle, Ltd., was held in Napier on Thursday, Mr. N. Kettle presiding. The annual report was as follows; "The directors have pleasure in submitting herewith accounts of the company, viz., balance-sheet and profit and'loss account for the year ending March 31, 1927, duly audited, and have to congratulate shareholders on the satisfactory result of the past year's working.
