MANCHESTER UNITY ODDFELLOWS

The fortnightly meeting of Loyal Gisborne Lodge 6087 was well attended last night, the principal business being the installation of officers. The ceremony was well carried out by Bro. H. T. Sinclair, 1.P.N.G., who was appointed lecture master at the previous meeting. The following were installed : Bro. A. W. Lister, N.G.; Sister M. Bobb, Y.G. ; Bro. Ivan McKay, E.S.; Bro. Geo. A. Holmes, KG was reelected and installed warden, Bros. P. C. Niven, P.G., apd R. J. McKay, P.G., conductors. After singing the installation ode, the lodge honors were conferred, followed by an address of congratulation by the secretary, after which Sister P. Williamson, who lakes the cliaiim of 1.P.N.G., thanked the members for kindness shown during her term as N.G. The other officers, in appropriate speeches, returned thanks. The report from the sick visitors was lengthy, some very serious cases being reported, and the sick benefit passed was heavy. A request from the district officers to report if any lodge member bad received over £2EO in sick pay showed three members still drawing benefit, £3,30. £2BB, and £2BC( having been advanced to date. The initiation ceremony will take place next lodge night.
