It is rumored here that Hankow has fallen to the Honanese General YangSen, who arrived and joined General Sha-Toayn, who was attar-king 'Wuchang and had reached the outskirts. A battle is progressing for possession of the city. Slui-Toayn lias issued his terms of surrender to the occupants. They demand the surrender of six “Red” leaders, including M. Borodin, who has already fled. It is reported that the Hanyang arsenal has been captured, but this is not confirmed. In view of tlie seriousness of the position two extra Japanese destroyers were ordered to Hankow from here, crammed with marines, and six field guns. Cliiang Kai-Shek’s troops continue 10 cross tho Yangtso and advance northwards. “HANDS OFF CHINA” LABOR ELEMENTS PROTEST WASHINGTON, May 21. Over 100 men and women, members of the so-called “Hands Off China Committee,” and allegedly composed of Labor elements from Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, made demonstrations before tbe British Embassy, carrying 'banners protesting against what was called “British Imperialism” that was said to be driving the world into another war.
