PALMERSTON NORTH’S OUTBREAK (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. The lire brigade received four alarms over the week-end, two being false. CK the other two one concerned u dwelling in. Linton street, a portion of which was badly damaged, and the other, at 2 o’clock* this morning, gutted a. shop in Main street west, owned bv Mrs. Childs and occupied by Mrs. Cobb as a pie shop. Adjacent premises were slightly damaged. MOTOR CARS DAMAGED (Pe T> Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A shed belonging to the City Council was found ablaze at about 3.30 o’clock this morning. The Harris street- portion was occupied by McMahon Motor Supplies, Ltd., and the rear by tho council. In McMahon’s portion 10 motor-cars and three motor-cycles were severely damaged. The City Council portion contained fbur cars and one cycle and sidecar, all of which were badly damaged. The insurances are not available.
