AUSTRALIAN BUYING
RECORD FROM U.S.A. t MELBOURNE, May 6. Imports into Australia from U.S.A. v reached £37.300,000 in 1925-26, according to the latest bulletin of the - Commonwealth Bureau of Census and Statistics. The figure constitutes a record. In the same period Australian exports to U.S.A. have increased nearly —- 50 per cent. —from £8,000,000 to £13.000,000. More than one-third of the imports were in connection with the motor industry. U.S.A. films brought into Australia last year totalled 30,394 miles in length, valued at £220,703. ,*•
