Great praise is due to the Maknraka Ladies’ Committee of the Anglican Church, who, in conjunction with the Winter Show Association, used their efforts in providing an excellent luncheon for the Pioneers and official party, and the Winter Show Association, who, with such commendable willingness, altered the dates of their Show to lit in with the Celebrations. A word of thanks, too, must, be expended to the Returned Soldiers, who, as helpers, contributed to the expeditious serving of the Luncheon. Considerable credit is due to the organisers and to those who arranged to make the Sports Gatherings such an attraction. To the Back to Gisborne Committee who used such untiring efforts to locate and notify Pioneers to be present at the celebrations we accord our heartfelt thanks. To the small band who so generously and gratuitously gave their time and energy to the designing and erecting of the Jubilee Triumphal Arch a meed of praise is due. The fine exhibitions by the Maori peoplp were greatly appreciated by all who saw their grand displays. Arid to the Stuffs of the Local Bodies our grateful thanks are given for the services rendered by them. The Press, in their wonted manner, have rendered us much invaluable assistance. Also to the A.A.A. for the use of so many motor-cars for transportation of pioneers. To personally thank all those who assisted would be beyond the powers of the Committee, but they hereby express their wholehearted gratitude. On behalf of the Executive Committee, CHAS.
