At the annual meeting of the YVairarapa Farmers’ Union, Messrs L. T. Daniel! and If. Morrison were pressed to accept nomination as delegates to the Dominion conference. Mr. Morrison declined on the ground that younger members should take a responsible part in the affairs of the union. Mr. Darnell, who has been a delegate for the last year or two, said that the duties had taken up a great deal of his time, and he felt that lie was entitled to a spell. It would be better, he said, that he should stay at heme and do a bit of top-dressing.
