Light of 70,000,000 Candle-power
To make San Francisco's now airport safe for 'pianos landing at night, more than 70,000,000 candle-power of light will flood the landing field. This tremendous flood of light will be visible for more, than * r >o miles through a 7,fi00,00 candle-power resolving beacon marking the field. Two .‘10,000,000 candle-power are landing lights, each complete with a motor generator set, will augment the beacon,light. They ean.be moved to gll parts of the field and cast an intense ground illumination through an arc of 170 degrees.
