MADGE ELLIOTT
LONDON PRESS COMMENT,
LONDON, April 29,
Under the heading of “ Dancing Triumph,” the Evening Standard” says that nothing nearer perfection is imaginable than the dancing of Madge Elliott, the Australian, in “ Lady Luck,” at tho Carlton.
“ She is a musical comedy dancer who delights her public,” says the newspaper, “ but at the same time she is one of the great artists of the world. She is a pure Michael Angelo creation, with a small head, <i neck like a. column, broad shoulders—a classic type that is beautiful in statuesque repose, but one that is almost impossible to imagine moving. Yet when she does move her serene loveliness is only accentuated.”
The Evening News says that Madge Elliott’s dancing with Cyril Ritchard is exquisito—“ conspicuously the best thing in the whole show.” “ Her smoothness, ease, rhythm, sense of music, and form were a delight every moment,” the News adds.
