The investigations being made into the Oiristchwcli . milk supply by ono of the municipal inspectors arc being hampered somewhat by the fact that the City Council cannot test the milk in area's outside the city's boundaries (states the Press). A similar experience has been met with by the Wellington municipality, which is endeavoring to obtain the righT to extend the sphere of its inspections to areas outside the city. It is provable that thcChristchurch City Council may make a similar endeavor. According to the Rev. Clyde Onrr, who was chairman of the milk supply committee of the last council, the tests of milk show that about) 12 per cent, of the samples tested arc unsatisfactory, and 1 the possibility is that there will be several additional cases against milk suppliers for selling milk below standard. .
