The Boomer-Dupont Hotel Co., ■which operates the Waldorf Astoria and other holels, has acquired a new building now being erected on the site of the old Netherlands hotel in Fifty-Ninth street, Fifth Avenue. It is to be made the most exclusive and expensive hotel in America, catering exclusively for millionaire families. The building is 23 storeys high, with a tower of 15 additional storeys. It is designed to accommodate only 100 families as permanent residents, witli a fewspare suites of rooms, reserved principally for the guests of the residents. Door handles, door plates, and door hinges will be of plated gold. " Bathrooms will have silver-plated fixtures, and the vestibule will give the effect of the great hall of some ancient Florentine palace.
