The Huanui sailed at 2.45 p.m. to-day for the south. The vestry of St. Paul's Church. Symoiids street, Auckland, has decided that ladies of the choir, whose handbags were stolen during the service on Sunday evening should 'be compensated. If was unanimously resolved to vote a sum from the parish funds, so that the money which each bag contained, amounting in all to several pounds, might be refunded. Most of the choristers are business girls. They left their purses in the cloakroom adjoining the hall, beneath the church, and a thief evidently gained access by a side rtoor. One of the handbags was found on the lawn of a near-by bowling green, the thief having thrown it over the fence.
