MAYOR AND COUNCIL UNOPPOSED (Herald Correspondent.) At noon on .Saturday . the borough returning officer had the following nominations for Mayor and councillors; also the nominations for tile constituent district elections:— Mayoralty : Joseph Corkill.—Elected unopposed. Borough Council: Jacob Andresen, Charles Burridge, Stanley A. Dickie, William Henry Flint, James Ilichard Gillespie, John \V. B. Macdonald, Frederick J. Single, Edgar P. Williams.— Elected unopposed. Borough members Wairoa Power Board, four seats: Jacob Andresen, Joseph Corkill, James R. Gillespie* John jW, B. Macdonald, Frederick James . Single, and John Somerville. Borough members Wairoa Hospital I Board, two seats: William H. Brady, Thomas Browne, William H. Flint, and Edgar P. Williams. Wairoa Harbor Board, two members : Thomas Browne and Joseph Corkill.— Elected unopposed.
