The directors of Taranaki Oilfields Ltd., have announced .that, on the recommendation of their geological staff, they have decided to drill a further well near Morere, on the East' Coast. Arrangements for the transfer of plant arc in hand. Tiro above message 'confirms fho special messages received by ,tho Herald some days ago, relative to the selection of a boring site at Morore, where investigations have been proceeding for some time. Taranaki Oilfields, Ltd., report: "Vvaiapil, No. 2 well: Drilled to6ssft, in grey shale; 12J,-in. casing to 643 ft. j gas mudded off. Taranaki No. J well: The erection of the rig is approaching completion. The weather is had. Transport is temporarily suspended. Arrangements have been made for completing 'the gravelling of road."
