NEW AIRSHIPS
U.S.A. INVITES DESIGNS (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 16. The Navy Department has invitod competitive designs for two rigid airships authorised by Congress in iy<ib. The designs must be submitted before May 16. If Congress fails to appropriate the money this session the Navy wil., notwithstanding, pay 50,000 dollars tot the winning design.
