Good work is being done in the- pa at Ohinemutu in the direction of widening roads, cleaning up unsightly spots, removing rubbish, and lastly, but not least, renewing the dilapidated fences. The work is being supervised by Mr. H. Tai Mitchell, who advocated rockery and flowers for dividing boundaries instead of wooden or wire fences. However, tiino would not. permit of this very necessary innovation, but it is hoped that such a departure will be taken when the commission, set up to improve Ohinemutu and' Whakarewarewa, gets to work in earnest.
