CHARM CAPTIVATES RENOWN'S MEN

Their Highnesses and staff were (lie I guests at an historic dinner in the wardroom last night. This probably is tiio ; only instance of a Royal Lady dining in a warship's wardroom. Their Highnesses afterwards attended an officers' entertainment, at which the Duchess and Countess of Cavnn with Mrs. Gilmour adjudicated on a Charleston competition.
The Renown has now entered the tropical zone. The Duke and Duchess are interested in occasional flying fish, shoals of which are likely soon to be encountered.
The weather now is more pleasant, the wind having swung to the south and freshening after four breathless days. In consequence of the following breeze, tho decks are now dry, excepting an occasional rain squall, one of which early this morning taught the Duke's staff
sleeping out on deck, compelling a hurried retreat.
Their Highnesses are regular attendants at the five-ten court, playing together lengthily. The Duke accompanied Captain Sullivan on an inspection of the ship. Their Highnesses, by the charm of their personality and graciousness, have captivated the whole ship's company.
